Thanks to ever-advancing technologies and techniques, more surgeries can be performed with either a very short hospital stay or none at all. At Olympic Medical Center’s Short Stay Unit, our goal is to get patients back home after surgery as soon as safely possible.
Patients visit the Short Stay Unit for same-day procedures including screening exams (such as colonoscopy), diagnostic procedures (such as bronchoscopy), and a variety of surgical and medical procedures.
Our nurses provide individualized patient education to make sure that our patients fully understand what to expect before, during and after their procedures, as well as what they can do to make home-based recovery faster and more comfortable.
