Olympic Medical Center’s (OMC) financial assistance program provides assistance to eligible patients who need help paying for emergency or medically necessary care they receive in an OMC facility or by an OMC provider. This program also covers medically necessary care provided at an OMC facility by our contract radiology (Radia) providers.
If you meet certain income requirements, you may qualify for free care or reduced-price care.
Please note that there are many non-employed (non-OMC) providers on the medical staff who are not covered by this policy. Patients should contact these providers separately with questions about financial assistance.

Who qualifies for financial assistance?
Eligibility is based on your income and family size. Discounts can range from 50% to 100% of your bill. In some cases, we’ll evaluate criteria other than income. For example, if you experience a catastrophic event, you may qualify regardless of income.

Apply for financial assistance
To apply, please read our financial assistance policy and complete an application for financial assistance (solicitud de asistencia financiera). You can also apply for financial assistance online by logging in to MyChart.

When your application is complete, submit it by mailing or bringing it to the address above.
We process submitted applications only once they are complete. If your application is not complete, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to send the missing documentation or information.
If you qualify for financial assistance, we will adjust your account balance accordingly and set up a payment plan for you.
Other options to help you pay for your care
Whether or not you qualify for financial assistance, we may be able to offer you other or additional repayment options:
- A one-year, interest-free payment plan on accounts over $300. The minimum payment is 1/12th of your bill or $25, whichever is more.
- A pre-approved bank loan program offered through Port Angeles-based Strait View Credit Union. Your credit score is not considered to receive the loan, which is fully backed by OMC.
- A prompt pay discount. Your discount could be 30% on bills over $10,000 or 20% on bills under $10,000 if you pay in full within 25 days of the first billing statement.
