About me and my practice

What led you to choose a career as a health care provider?

I have always had a strong passion for medicine, which has only grown stronger as I've grown older. Living abroad in different parts of the world, including the US, Africa, Asia, and Europe, has also given me a unique perspective on the disparities in healthcare that exist across different regions. This experience has deepened my resolve to pursue a career in medicine, driven by a desire to address these gaps and make a positive impact on global healthcare outcomes.

What's an interesting fact about yourself that patients might be surprised to learn?

The Ousman Koro Ceesay Foundation was established in memory of my older brother, whose passing inspired me to create a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical services and education supplies to underserved communities. My brother was a strong advocate for education among young people, and his legacy lives on through our foundation's dual focus on medical care and education. We do medical missions twice a year. What do you find most rewarding about working with patients?

What I find most rewarding about working with patients is helping them achieve their goals, whether it is being a bit healthier, losing weight, or getting their diabetes or high blood pressure in control. There is a great sense of satisfaction in seeing patients thrive and knowing that the efforts we put in together have led to positive outcomes.

How do you enjoy spending your free time?

I love travelling around the world and experiencing difference cultures and people. I'm a foodie at heart.
