About me and my practice

Conditions treated

I welcome any condition or concern and will work with you to help make a plan for long-term care that may include specialty services if needed. Over the years I have enjoyed working with folks on mental health, LGBTQ health, chronic pain, lung concerns, gynecologic concerns and many others.

Special procedures performed

I am comfortable with family practice procedures such as wound repair, wart management, toenail removals, birth control devices, biopsies, splints/casts and injections.

About patients

I have been humbled and inspired by the humans I have cared for over the years. Meeting folks where they are in their healthcare journey and advocating for their goals has been incredibly rewarding.

What can patients expect from an appointment?

I want to support folks in their goals and decisions for their individual health plans. Healthcare is often confusing and overwhelming, and I want folks to leave with a better understanding of what is happening with their bodies and the options they have for taking care of their health.

About Primary Care

Primary Care is where most folks start a health care journey. There are often a lot of unknowns when you first come to the clinic. It is a privilege to help individuals through that process.

What led you to choose your area of focus?

Primary Care provides the unique experience of caring for folks in times of need and over the course of their life. It is a wonderful way to participate in an individual's health and their family members over time.

Something people might not know

I started in Primary Care in 2013 caring for migrant farm workers in California, then in a community health center in Tacoma and just before moving here worked in a free health care clinic and with LGBTQ folks in Salt Lake City. The wide range of experiences and communities has continued to foster my love for family medicine and meeting folks where they are in their health care journeys.

What drew you to the Olympic Peninsula?

While living in Bonney Lake, Wash., my husband and I enjoyed camping on the Peninsula and fell in love with the area. The close-knit community feels similar to where we both grew up as children.

How can you serve OMC and its patients?

I learned from starting my medical career in a very rural community that the importance of not only creating access for healthcare but also being a part of a community is crucial for all of us to thrive together.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I think I develop a new hobby every year. I started wheel-thrown pottery in 2024, still practice my clarinet from high school, love making sourdough bread and being in the garden. Any chance we can get out on a trail or kayak makes for a great day and most of all I am an avid swimmer -- I love swimming in lakes.
