On patients
What I find most rewarding is building relationships, empowering patients to take an active role in their health and seeing their progress over time. It's very fulfilling to collaborate with patients and help them navigate both health challenges and milestones throughout their lives.
What can patients expect from an appointment?
Patients can expect a thoughtful, collaborative visit where their concerns are heard, and their questions are welcomed. I strive to take time to explain what’s going on, clearly discuss options, and work together to create a plan.
On family medicine
What I find most interesting about family medicine is the mix of problem-solving, human connection, and variety—every patient brings a unique story and set of challenges.
Something people might not know
Family medicine is not the same as general practice. I completed extra post-graduate training in a variety of medical specialties and sub-specialties. It literally is the specialty of no specific specialty.
What led you to family medicine?
I value the long-term relationships I build with patients and the opportunity to support their health across all stages of life. I also enjoy the variety it offers—no two days are the same, and that keeps the work engaging and meaningful.
How can you serve OMC and its patients?
With 20 years of experience and training in rural medicine, I bring diverse skills and a commitment to compassionate, collaborative care.
What drew you to the Olympic Peninsula?
I was drawn to the Olympic Peninsula for its natural beauty and access to the outdoors—trail running, hiking, and mountaineering are a perfect fit for me. I also appreciate the sense of space, community, and the opportunity to care for people from all walks of life.
How do you spend your free time?
I like to run, ski, climb mountains, ride bikes, and get lost in the woods. I've been sky diving and bungee jumping, but I'm also afraid of heights.
