Two New Providers Join OMP Women’s Health

Olympic Medical Center New Women's Health Providers

OB-GYN Dr. Rose Bissonnette and Physician Assistant Katie Armbruster bring experienced gynecological care to women on the Olympic Peninsula.

Olympic Medical Center welcomes two new providers to the OMP Women’s Health team in Port Angeles and Sequim. OB-GYN Rose Bissonnette, MD, and Katie Armbruster, certified physician assistant, joined the clinic this summer and will provide gynecological services to patients.

“We are pleased to welcome two new providers to the Women’s Health clinic,” said Sheryl Clark, Women’s Health clinic manager. “They are a wonderful addition to the clinic and community.”

Dr. Bissonnette specializes in both obstetrics and gynecology. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed residency at University of Colorado. Originally from Kitsap County, Dr. Bissonnette chose to practice on the Olympic Peninsula to serve a community near where she was raised. With a focus on both routine and complex pregnancies, as well as contraception, well-woman care and gynecological issues, Dr. Bissonnette looks forward to caring for patients throughout their lives, where, she says, “together we can work on optimizing your health at any age.”

Armbruster attended the physician assistant program at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan and earned her Master of Science in Medicine with an emphasis on gynecology. “I hope to empower women to take charge of their gynecologic health,” said Armbruster. “I enjoy taking the fear out of gynecology and putting patients at ease.”

The new providers will see patients at the OMP Women’s Health clinics in Port Angeles and Sequim. For more information on services and hours, call (360) 565-0999.

I hope to empower women to take charge of their gynecologic health.
