19 Jul Ranjini Krishnan, MD, Joins Cardiology Team at Olympic Medical Physicians Clinic
Dr. Krishnan brings two decades of experience to Olympic Medical Heart Center.
Olympic Medical Center welcomes Ranjini Krishnan, MD, to the Olympic Medical Heart Center cardiology team. Dr. Krishnan joins OMC with over 20 years of experience in internal and cardiovascular medicine. She will see patients at the OMP Specialties Clinic in Seqium.
“Olympic Medical Heart Center is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Krishnan to the cardiology team,” said Dr. Kara Urnes, cardiologist and Olympic Medical Heart Center medical director. “She brings two decades of experience in cardiology care and we are thrilled to have her caring for patients on the Olympic Peninsula.”
“Learning about the heart’s anatomy and physiology inspired me to choose cardiology as a medical student,” said Dr. Krishnan. “The many technologies and advancements used in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases inspires me and keeps my curiosity high in practicing cardiovascular medicine.”
Dr. Krishnan studied medicine at The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in the city of Chennai in southern India. She completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania before pursuing fellowships in cardiology and cardiovascular disease at the University of Washington in Seattle.
With well-rounded training in both clinical care of patients as well as research training, Dr. Krishnan feels grateful that her experience and knowledge base allows her to provide great heart care to patients on the Olympic Peninsula. “When my patients meet with me, they can feel confident they’re seeing a good cardiologist with great bedside manner, etiquette and experience.”
Dr. Krishnan joins the cardiology team consisting of Dr. Kara Urnes, Dr. Robert Henson, Dr. James Emery, Tracy Zaher-Lee, ARNP and Amy Kalisek, ARNP, bringing heart care to patients on the Peninsula.
