I feel education is an important part of a treatment plan. Patients need to be involved in the process
of getting well and overcoming the challenges that often come with debilitating conditions.
On Wound Care
Wounds, especially chronic non-healing wounds, often are a result of other medical conditions that remain unresolved or are progressive in nature. Addressing those issues is an important part of managing chronic wounds. I am a true believer in taking a team approach, involving other health professionals in a patient’s care plan provides the patient with an holistic approach to improving their overall health.
About Your Provider
The most satisfying part of being a provider is seeing patients achieve positive outcomes. This may be related to a chronic wound that heals, or even helping a patient manage their conditions and improve their quality of life. I chose wound care because I am fascinated by the body’s ability to heal itself, the complex nature of chronic wounds, and the satisfaction in helping patients heal.
Personal Information
I love the outdoors! Golfing, hiking, dogs and horses. I enjoy reading and baking, good food, country music, and most importantly I am blessed to be able to share life with my amazing family!
