About Me and My Practice
What can patients expect from an appointment with you?
I explain to patients their medical conditions in an easy to understand manner and answer their questions so they can feel confident in understanding their own health. I then discuss their treatment options and assist in picking a treatment plan that aligns with their goals of care.
What do you find most rewarding about working with patients?
I enjoy seeing people make positive changes in their quality of life through life-saving heart procedures, proven medical therapies and healthy lifestyle changes.
What led you to pursue a career as a cardiology provider?
The heart has many complex functions which I find fascinating. Treatment for heart disease has come a long way with new treatments always being developed. I enjoy explaining to patients how their heart functions and what evidence-based treatment options they have available to help them make an informed decision about their care.
What drew you to Olympic Medical Center and the Olympic Peninsula?
I previously worked for a small hospital in coastal Maine which has a lot of similarities with the Olympic Peninsula. I enjoy all things outdoors as well as providing healthcare in a more rural setting.
How do you spend your free time?
Reading, hiking, running, cycling, spending time with family, traveling.
What is a fact your patients might be surprised to learn about you?
I love dogs and would happily talk with people about their dogs all day. If you mention you have a dog, I will probably ask you more about them.
