What can patients expect from an appointment?
I strive to be friendly, a good listener and spend the time needed to work with my patients in a teamwork fashion to improve their health goals. I also strive to be understanding and compassionate, which is important in helping anyone get through chronic or acute conditions.
What do you find most rewarding about working with patients?
Developing rapport in a doctor-patient relationship and seeing the improvement in their health.
What led you to choose a career as a family medicine provider?
Being able to treat a wide variety of conditions and develop a relationship with my patients to work with them toward their health goals with continuity of care.
How do you feel your training, experience and expertise can serve Olympic Medical Center’s patients?
My training as a Family Medicine physician is valuable in helping organize patient’s healthcare needs. Also, my experience as a hospitalist provides additional knowledge in recognizing and treating serious conditions like heart disease, lung disease and renal failure. Preventative medicine is extremely important to any person’s long-term health goals.
How do you enjoy spending your free time?
I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, kayaking and photography. I enjoy reading novels as well.
What is a fact about you that your patients might be surprised to learn?
I’ve had the luck and pleasure of witnessing the Northern Lights in Iceland. Amazing experience!
