About Me and My Practice
On Patients
I listen to the patient – they are my greatest teacher. I believe in timely, patient-centered, safe and effective care. Our patients deserve to always be taken seriously as they present to us often quite vulnerable in their disease process giving us the honor and privilege of helping them.
On Pulmonary Medicine
I particularly enjoy pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. As a retired US Navy Captain, I had the honor and privilege of taking care of our US Marines who experienced tremendous pulmonary disease from the wars in the Middle East.
About Me
I initially was drawn to medicine as a child while growing up in Chicago, IL. My brother suffers from severe epilepsy and I would frequently go to his appointments and be exposed to an array of physicians and nurses whom I admired a great deal. That dream of becoming a physician came true thanks to the US Navy. I recently retired as a Navy Captain after serving 31 years.
Personal Information
I love traveling, sailing, cooking, staying reasonably fit, attending concerts, and following the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. You just can’t get the city of Chicago out of me!
