What led you to choose a career as a sleep medicine provider?
I feel that the importance of sleep is sometimes overlooked in our fast-paced society. My goal is to help to empower patients to improve the quality of their sleep, and in turn improve the overall quality of their health.
What can patients expect from an appointment?
It is very important that my patients feel heard, understood and valued as individuals. I work collaboratively with patients to build trust and meet their needs.
What do you find most rewarding about working with patients?
I am very humbled to have been able to build a career out of helping others. I enjoy meeting people and learning about their diverse experiences. My desire is always to make a positive impact in my patients’ lives.
What do you find most interesting about sleep medicine?
Sleep medicine is such a fascinating specialty. There is always new and exciting research pushing the field forward. I love learning more about the connections between sleep and other body systems.
What drew you to OMC and the Olympic Peninsula?
It is such a unique area. I appreciate its natural beauty and the strength of the community that OMC serves.
How do you enjoy spending your free time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and exploring. I love taking road trips, reading, cooking and baking. I always enjoy learning and trying new things.
What is a fact about you that your patients might be surprised to learn?
As a Floridian, I love swimming. I am so glad there are no alligators here in Washington.
