About Me and My Practice
On Patients: Relationships with patients and their families is one of the best parts of being a pediatrician. I value working in collaboration towards the highest level of wellness.
On Pediatrics: Children are not just little adults with different physical, developmental and emotional considerations. They deserve to have medical care from those with training specifically about them.
About Me: I am drawn to looking at the body from a holistic perspective. In addition to my residency in pediatrics, I have training in providing support for the Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) diet and four years of training in Eden Energy Medicine. While these topics don’t come up in most appointment encounters, they do influence how I view disease and wellness.
Personal Information: I enjoy foraging, herbal wildcrafting, gardening, hiking, yoga, cooking and sewing.
Clinical Interests
I am passionate about searching for the root cause of disease. I strive to meet patients and families at their current level of health and use integrative methods to increase that level of wellness such as with diet or energy perspectives. Sometimes an illness requires a short course of antibiotics, but sometimes we have to dig deeper and look outside the box for what might be causing symptoms.
