My philosophy is to provide accurate information and support women’s choices without judgment, to trust the human body and interfere only when necessary.
The practice of midwifery has been around for millennia, but again and again modern scientific research has supported our methods. Evidence shows that when you stand with a mother, empower her, provide sound information and give care that is based on honesty and respect, the rest follows: mothers and babies stay safe, and families start strong.
I want to make the world better. What more perfect place to start than at the beginning? It is a privilege and an honor to be invited to share in the most sacred and intimate moment of birth.
I am a wife, a mother of two small children and an artist. In my spare time, I paint crazy abstracts with acrylics and crochet fuzzy hats for my kids. I like dark chocolate, white wine and coffee. My ideal days are spent collecting agates and sea glass followed by a delicious, cheesy dinner cooked by someone else.
