OMP Welcomes 5th Surgeon to Skilled General Surgery Team

Michael Reopelle, MDPORT ANGELES  (September 3, 2020) – The general surgeons on staff at Olympic Medical Center perform thousands of operations each year, from appendectomies, biopsies, hernia repairs and cancer surgeries, to saving lives as trauma surgeons. Michael Reopelle, MD, joined the robust Olympic Medical Physicians surgery team this month, in part because he values the opportunity to participate in overall community health care and be a part of the very important trauma team.

Dr. Reopelle joins surgeons Charles Bundy, MD, FACS, Georgia Heisterkamp, MD, FACS, Matthew Levy, MD, and Sandra Tatro, MD, FACS.

“Our general surgeons are vital to continuing OMC’s trauma program, as well as planned surgical care, which is why we are increasing access for surgeries,” says Josh Jones, MD, chief physician officer at Olympic Medical Physicians. “We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Reopelle to our excellent surgical group. His interest and skill in advanced laparoscopic procedures, as well as his focus on easing patients through their surgical journey makes him an excellent addition to OMP.”

Dr. Reopelle (pronounced Re-o-pell) is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree from University of South Dakota and completed his residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
