Olympic Medical Center’s Board of Commissioners recognized four outstanding employees from the Laboratory Services team at a virtual board meeting recently, acknowledging their commitment to providing efficient, professional care to both OMC and Jamestown Family Health Clinic patients.

As part of the OMC laboratory team, the four recognized laboratory assistants perform their work primarily from the OMC labs at Jamestown Family Health Clinic and out of OMC’s Sequim Medical Services Building. Both labs are a part of OMC Laboratory Services.

Chief Executive Officer Darryl Wolfe presented the awards to the OMC Laboratory employees, consisting of Mary Bittick, Katrina Ferrel, KatieRose Needham and Rikki Parr. Ginger Landry, former OMC Laboratory Satellite Services Supervisor, shared comments, saying, “I have received numerous kudos and compliments about them from clinical staff, providers and patients over the last several months. I am extremely proud of the impression OMC lab staff have made on our colleagues at Jamestown.”

The lab assistants have handled an increasing patient volume at the Jamestown lab, performing an average of 85 draws a day, which, according to Landry, are performed “in a caring, yet efficient and professional manner.”

“All four of these employees have proven themselves to be dedicated and hardworking, truly exemplifying OMC’s mission of ‘working together to provide excellence in health care’,” said Landry.
