Hospital Compare: OMC Earns 5-Star Designation
PORT ANGELES (February 3, 2020) – Hospital Compare, a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services online guide that allows consumers to view quality data for more than 4,000 Medicare-certified hospitals across the Nation, recently rated Olympic Medical Center with Five Stars, the highest rating awarded.
“Staff and clinicians at Olympic Medical Center are constantly striving for improvement in quality and is a top priority in our efforts to continually improve patient outcomes,” says Eric Lewis, chief executive officer, Olympic Medical. “Except in the case of emergencies, members of our community have a choice of what hospital they seek care and it’s important for them to know that Olympic Medical has excellent quality outcomes. I want to say thank you and congratulations to our medical staff, RNs, patient care employees, and support employees for all their dedication and skilled work which made this happen.”
In 2020, only 407 hospitals of the more than 4,000 rated (8.87%) received a Five Star rating.
