Olympic Medical Staff Excel at Assisting Patients

PORT ANGELES – (November 21, 2019) Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Darryl Wolfe honored staff from three Olympic Medical Center departments at a recent board of commissioners meeting.

Health Information Management

Chart Analyst Renee Sommers embodies OMC’s core values, says Wolfe. “Renee is selfless and dedicated, offers to support others and is professional and compassionate in all interactions with patients,” said Wolfe.

Piper Grall, release of information technician and birth registrar, works collaboratively with many departments, is a talented problem-solver, and always puts patients and customers first.

Patient Financial Services

Patient Account Representative Nicole Jackson has a strong work ethic, says Wolfe. Nicole tackles volumes of work with skill and efficiency and regularly encourages and praises her peers.

Cashier Specialist Kim Goss shares knowledge and provides support to her team, and works to maximize resources and processes.

Cheryl Bankson, financial services representative, helps streamline financial processes for patients and provides compassionate customer service. Bankson also fosters teamwork among coworkers.

Patient Access Services

Patient Access Representative Terry Wray assists patients during the registration process with confidence and a calm demeanor, says Wolfe, and acts as a role model for his coworkers.

Debbie Callahan, also a patient access representative, takes extra steps to help patients, family, and visitors at the emergency department arrival desk.

As Washington State Certified Application Counselors, Wray and Callahan can assist patients in enrolling for healthcare coverage benefits.
