Olympic Medical Center Board of Commissioners Seeks Applicants

PORT ANGELES, WA (May 22, 2023) – The Board of Commissioners of Olympic Medical Center is seeking applicants for a commissioner vacancy for the Clallam County Public Hospital District No. 2, At-Large position. Qualified applicants must reside in any of the three hospital districts within PHD #2. Voting precincts within Clallam County Public Hospital District #2 are noted in the table from the most recent census and redistricting process in 2020.

The position is vacant due the resignation of Commissioner Heather Jeffers, effective June 30, 2023, who is relocating out of the area. The most qualified applicant will be appointed to serve until the next general election for the hospital district in November 2025. Minimum time requirements include two monthly board meetings, the first Wednesday of the month at 12:30 pm, and the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm, and any additional committee work as assigned.

The Board of Commissioners is responsible for governing Olympic Medical Center and its inpatient and outpatient services, as well as major divisions including Olympic Medical Physicians and Olympic Medical Home Health.
