Olympic Medical Center Promotes Two to Director

July 25, 2019 -
Wendy Willey & Franklin Pangrazi both promoted from within

PORT ANGELES  – Olympic Medical Center proudly announces the internal promotions of two employees to the position of director.

Wendy Willey, who has served as manager of lab services for two years, replaced Deby King as director of lab services. King retired earlier this month. Willey’s previous roles directing lab services for Confluence in Wenatchee, combined with her effective work as manager in the OMC lab, results in 20 years of experience and made her the top choice to take on this role.

"She brings important experience, energy and service development leadership skills to this critical role,” says Scott Kennedy, MD, chief medical officer. "We are thrilled to have her as our new laboratory services director.”

Franklin Pangrazi joined Olympic Medical Center as purchasing manager in the Fall of 2018, coming from the Virginia Mason system where he spent three years working in supply chain at their Yakima Facility. He has taken the mantle of materials management director. Kathi Pressley, who has been the director of materials management for many years, retires on August 2, and has been working alongside Pangrazi throughout July.

"Franklin has performed well here at Olympic Medical and is well positioned for this promotion,” says Darryl Wolfe, chief financial officer. "He underwent a competitive process and did very well. He knows he has big shoes to fill, but is ready for the challenge, and is committed to helping us continue to move our organization forward.”
