Medication Assisted Treatment Slots Available

May 31, 2019 -
Medication Assisted Treatment helps individuals manage withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings caused by opioid-use disorder.

The OMP Primary Care Clinic offers Medication Assisted Treatment access for the community. Slots are available for new patients, and enrollment into the program is easy.

Call (360) 565-0999 and talk to a registration specialist about a referral into the Medication Assisted Treatment program. All referrals are confidentially referred to a clinic nurse care manager at the Primary Care Clinic who reviews and then contacts the patient for an assessment. Patients undergoing Medication Assisted Treatment are attached to a clinic primary care provider as part of their care plan.

Medication Assisted Treatment can improve recovery potential for those with opioid-use disorder by managing and reducing the symptoms. Continued use of opioids comes with serious risks, including physical dependence, increased symptoms of depression and opioid overdose that could lead to sudden death.

Taking medication for an opioid-use disorder is like taking medications to control heart disease or diabetes; it is not the same as substituting one opioid for another. When used properly, medications used in this treatment do not create a new addiction and helps improve a person’s recovery potential.
