Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild Donates $4,000 for Olympic Medical Cancer Center

SEQUIM – Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild Board President Nancy McGovern presented $4,000 to Olympic Medical Center during the 48th annual Guild Luncheon at 7 Cedars Casino on May 23.

The Guild’s donation will be used toward specialized wheelchairs for patients at Olympic Medical Cancer Center.
 
Since its inception, the Guild has raised more than $2.21 million for the local community, and of that, has given more than $722,286 to Olympic Medical Center. 
 
"Olympic Medical Center is genuinely grateful for the long history the Guild has of supporting health care and giving generously to benefit Olympic Medical Center and our patients,” said Eric Lewis, chief executive officer, Olympic Medical Center. "The Guild continues, year after year, to make a big difference in supporting health care in our community.”
 
Olympic Medical Center (Clallam County Public Hospital District No. 2) is a comprehensive, award-winning health care provider for more than 70,000 residents of Clallam County. It has served the community since its establishment on Nov. 1, 1951, and is governed by a seven-member, publicly elected board. Olympic Medical is a sole community hospital and rural referral center, and a charter member of both the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (2003) and the Swedish Health Network (2011). Olympic Medical provides inpatient services at its 67-bed acute-care facility in Port Angeles, including a level-three trauma designated emergency department, surgical services, and labor and delivery. OMC’s outpatient services include cardiac, imaging, physical therapy and rehabilitation, laboratory, sleep medicine, surgical services, home health, physician clinics and comprehensive regional cancer care at locations in Port Angeles and Sequim.
