Pharmacy Staff Recognized at Olympic Medical Center

November 20, 2018 -
Olympic Medical Center Chelsie Botero and Melissa Sheldon, pharmacy buyers, received recognition awards recently at a board of commissioners meeting.

"Chelsie has kept the hospital and OMP clinics supplied with medications during an extended period of extremely challenging drug shortages,” says Lorraine Wall, RN, chief nursing officer and hospital chief operating officer.

"Melissa has quickly gained expertise and oversees the 340B contract pharmacy arrangements and program compliance,” says Wall.

The 340B Drug Discount Program is a US federal government program that requires drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs to eligible health care organizations, such as Olympic Medical, at reduced prices.
