OMC Administration and Board Recognize Six Employees

August 9, 2018 -
Home Health and ICU / Telemetry staff receive awards
PORT ANGELES – Six employees received recognition at the August 1 Olympic Medical Center Board of Commissioners meeting.

Olympic Medical Center’s Lorraine Wall, RN, chief nursing officer and hospital chief operating officer, first recognized three Olympic Medical Home Health staff for outstanding efforts. Joe Bridge, RN, Sarah Lester, receptionist, and Tracy Devose, RN, each received awards, respectively.

"These three Home Health team members were recognized for their Service Excellence, flexibility, teamwork and expertise” said Wall. "Whether caring for a patient, or working with other employees, they have each established themselves as key members of our team.”

Wall also recognized three members of the Intensive Care Unit / Telemetry (ICU), including registered nurses Blaire Flamand, JoDean Barrett and Tara Thomas.

"These three ICU nurses volunteered to be a part of the primary work group for a bedside reporting pilot project with the objective to continuously improve patient and staff safety and satisfaction,” said Wall. "The bedside shift report makes the patient and their family members part of the OMC treatment team. This was a tremendous project for the ICU and these three individuals were a significant part of making this change successful in the unit.”
