Commissioner Ann Marie Henninger Earns Health Governance Certification

OMC Commissioner Ann Marie Henninger earned the Health Care Governance certification in 2020 after completing more than 50 hours of educational sessions on community health needs assessments, federal and state health care policies and more.

The educational curriculum, which was offered entirely online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, strenghtens Henninger’s understanding of hospital governance as well as her ability to enhance board effectiveness.

At a recent virtual board meeting, Henninger was recognized for her dedication to equipping herself with the best skills to meet the needs of our patients and the broader community.

OMC Commissioner Thom Hightower also holds the certification after completing the program in 2019.

About the Health Care Governance Education program:
The Washington State Hospital Association and the Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts launched the Health Care Governance Education program in 2019 to help increase the skills and expertise of those who govern Washington state health systems. This includes hospital executive leadership, members of boards of directors and public hospital districts’ elected commissioners.
