Volunteer Program

One of the Great Gifts You Can Give is Your Time

The support of our volunteers makes a significant impact on our organization and the community. We invite you to share your talents and compassion while making new friends and having fun!

Whether you’re a teenager, a retiree, or somewhere in between, we invite you to join our Volunteer Services program at Olympic Medical Center. Presently we have over 60 participants who work in the hospital and Sequim area. We actively recruit volunteers and we welcome your expertise to our program. OMC volunteers give back to the community, and by doing so, receive an enriching gift in return – the knowledge that each of us is making a positive difference.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have ample volunteer opportunities available to choose from. Volunteers at OMC contribute hundreds of in-service hours each year in such position as greeting visitors at the information desk, floor runners, Short Stay, clerical assignments in various departments, Emergency Room Liaison, staffing the hospital gift shop; Cardiac Services, and even in pet therapy.

Olympic Medical Center Auxiliary

The Olympic Medical Center Auxiliary is instrumental in raising contributions via activities that include the hospital gift shop, bake sales, seasonal sales events and the Auxiliary Arts and Crafts Show featuring over 60 vendors.

The Auxiliary Gift Shop operates six days a week thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers. Hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The gift shop offers greeting cards as well as a wide array of seasonal and everyday merchandise for gift giving. The shop takes cash, checks, credit cards, and OMC payroll deduction. All proceeds go to enhance programs at OMC to benefit our patients.
