Our Short Stay Unit Provides Personal Attention
Thanks to state-of-the-art surgical technology, more and more surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. At Olympic Medical Center, more than half of our surgical patients may go home on the same day as their procedure.

The friendly, competent staff of the Short Stay Unit will welcome you and ensure all you radmitting paperwork and lab work is handled smoothly and with your concerns in mind. Our Short Stay nurses also provide individualized patient education, so that you fully understand what to expect before, during and after your procedure, as well as give you tips for making your home recovery faster and more comfortable.

Surgical patients who require an overnight hospital stay may conveniently visit Short Stay up to five days before their procedure to complete the nursing assessment, lab work, and patient education ahead of time.

Short Stay also treats patients on a same-day basis for endoscopic procedures, chemotherapy, pain blocks, blood transfusions, or IV antibotic treatments.
