Olympic Medical Center’s Dietitians and Nutrition Advocates OMC dietitians are responsible for the nutritional care of all hospital patients and are members of the care team for diabetes, oncology, cardiac and other medical services. Dietitians also work in the community providing maternal and child nutrition care, counseling and education and are active participants in area events such as health fairs, food festivals and radio programs. OMC dietitians are registered through the American Dietetics Association (ADA) and certified by the state of Washington. What is a dietitian and how can I see one? What other services do the OMC dietitians provide? Meet the Olympic Medical Center Dietitians: Nutrition Advocates screen patients for nutritional risk factors, visit them to record allergies, preferences and tolerances. They ensure meals are appropriately individualized. Nutrition Advocates may be Certified Dietary Managers, Dietetic Technicians or trained on the job.
