CT Scan
A computerized tomography (CT scan) is a series of thin beams of x-rays that rotate around the body, and are then processed by a computer to produce cross-sectional pictures. Olympic Medical Center’s CT department offers the latest technology in diagnostic imaging.

Our LightSpeed CT system provides highly detailed images of the human body, allowing doctors to capture multiple wafer-thin images of a patient's anatomy within seconds, shaving precious minutes off the exam time. The system provides exceptional high-resolution images that help doctors more accurately diagnose patients than ever before. Olympic Medical Center is the first medical facility in the area to offer patients this state-of-the-art, innovative technology, and one of only four facilities in Washington state with this system.

Olympic Medical Center allocated $1.8 million for the purchase of two new CT scanners, one for the hospital and one for Olympic Medical Center's Sequim Campus. It is Olympic Medical Center's commitment to allow our patients access to the very best diagnostic imaging technology right here at home.
