Echocardiography
Olympic Medical Center’s main echocardiography lab is located on the second floor in the east wing of Olympic Memorial Hospital on Caroline St. in Port Angeles. We also offer outpatient echo service in Sequim with our mobile unit.

Our specially trained staff uses Acuson Sequoia ultrasound machines, the most advanced equipment available, along with special cutaway exam tables for optimal imaging. The echocardiography lab offers these testing capabilities:

• Echocardiogram (resting echo).
• Stress echo (treadmill with echo).
• Dobutamine stress echo (pharmcologic stress with echo).

Although there are no laws that require a person conducting this exam to be credentialed, we only employ registered diagnostic cardiac sonographers (RDCS), who have passed comprehensive certification exams and maintain their credentials through continuing education.

Our echocardiograms are interpreted by Olympic Medical Center physicians who are board-certified in adult echocardiography.
