Olympic Medical Center is pleased to announce a new physician service to the residents of Clallam County, in partnership with Forks Community Hospital. By calling the new physician line – (888) DOC-6260 or (888) 362-6260 – people living in Clallam County are aided in finding a provider available in their local communities.
Forks Community Hospital and Olympic Medical Center collaborated on the physician line to provide citizens with one easy-to-remember phone number to call if they are searching for a physician.
“This service is very important for our communities right now, particularly with the closure of the Hood Canal Bridge,” says Rhonda Curry, assistant administrator at Olympic Medical Center. “Olympic Medical Center and Forks Community Hospital together have many local physicians and specialists such as surgeons, cardiologists and more. (888) DOC-6260 is a convenient way for patients to locate a local provider.”
Many people in Clallam County use some type of medical service in the Greater Seattle / Puget Sound area at least once a year, according to Curry, and utilize the Hood Canal Bridge for this purpose. With the closure, these people will have restricted access to health care across the bridge. The physician line directs community members to the professional and skilled medical staff working in our own communities.
Upon the reopening of the Hood Canal Bridge, Olympic Medical Center plans to continue the physician line for the community. People can also locate Clallam County specialists through Olympic Medical Center’s web site by clicking on Find a Physician.
