Members of Olympic Medical Center’s Medical Staff lined up after their weekly meeting on Monday, Sept. 13, to protect patients under care at Olympic Medical center by receiving their annual flu shots.
Seen here (below left) is Chief of Staff Dr. Harry Lyndes, receiving his flu vaccination from OMC Employee Health and Wellness Coordinator Jon Critchfield, RN. Other physicians in line include, Chief of Surgery Dr. Carleen Bensen, Dr. Rebecca Corley, Dr. Ed Gacek, Dr. Mark Redlin, Dr. Mark Fischer, Dr. Paul Cunningham, Dr. Peter Lewis, Dr. Richard VanCalcar, Dr. Jerry Oakes, Dr. Werner Meier, and OMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Scott Kennedy.

Influenza is a serious respiratory disease that kills an average of 36,000 persons, young and old, and hospitalizes more than 200,000 persons in the United States each year. By receiving flu immunization, medical staff helps protect patients from exposure to influenza viruses.
