Olympic Medical Center staff and the Port Angeles Ambassadors commemorate the opening of the OMP Walk-In Clinic in Port Angeles with a ribbon cutting on Thursday. Center with scissors, Jim Leskinovitch, OMC board president, Eric Lewis, chief executive officer, Dr. Joel Finman, Walk-In Clinic medical director, and Dr. Josh Jones, chief physician officer, cut the ribbon.
"This is a big step forward and a long-established goal of our board to increase access to care in our community,” said Lewis.
Olympic Medical Physicians hired eight additional providers and 13 support staff for the clinic.
The Walk-In Clinic, located in the new medical office building at 907 Georgiana Street, is open and seeing patients with non-life-threatening injuries or conditions seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Construction of the adjacent parking lot is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, but parking is available by entering the lot from Washington Street.
Olympic Medical Physicians primary care, general surgery, orthopedics and women’s health along with cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology and urology (formerly in the OMP Specialty Clinic building) have also moved into the new building. An open house and health fair is scheduled for April 22.
