Carol Brokschmidt, MD, recently joined Olympic Medical Physicians Women’s Clinic as its new OB/Gyn.
Dr. Brokschmidt has a special interest in providing preventive holistic care. “I went into obstetrics and gynecology to provide reasonable, non-aggressive preventive care for women,” she says. “I enjoy the challenge of designing a more holistic approach to provide care that is tailored to a woman’s individual needs.”
Her professional interests also include minimally invasive surgery and non-invasive ultrasound to complement examinations.
Dr. Brokschmidt completed medical school, internship and residency at the University of Chicago. She enjoys the opportunities provided by the OB/Gyn specialty. “I am privileged to be able to interact with so many wonderful and diverse individuals, and to have a chance to not only treat problems, but to be proactive and help prevent problems from occurring in the first place,” says Dr. Brokschmidt. “Part of this is a real interest in educating my patients about their own health issues.”
Dr. Brokschmidt is also a musician interested in both symphonic and jazz music, and she is an avid outdoors enthusiast.
