Radiation Oncology: Right On Target
Olympic Medical Cancer Center’s experienced radiation oncologists diagnose, evaluate and treat cancers through state-of-the-art radiation therapies, and work closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, internal medicine specialists, as well as medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, nurses and pharmacists in treating cancer. These professionals utilize first-class technology that dramatically increases the accuracy in planning and treatment of cancer.

Olympic Medical Cancer Center’s linear accelerator machine with intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) allows radiation oncologists to target more of the cancer, while causing less damage to surrounding healthy tissue. Our expertise in this treatment assures our patients of the best cancer care possible.

Medical Oncology: A Tradition of Quality Cancer Care
Olympic Medical Center has offered medical oncology services at Olympic Memorial Hospital for decades.  In 2007 it unveiled the new Primo Construction Medical Oncology wing addition to the Thomas Family Cancer Center in Sequim. This brought medical oncology under the same roof as the services provided in the Littlejohn Family Radiation Oncology wing. The new medical oncology wing boasts six infusion rooms and four additional infusion bays, along with new exam rooms.

Medical oncologists are on-site and work closely with radiation oncologists, pharmacists, and oncology nurses to provide a team-centered approach to cancer treatment. Olympic Medical Cancer Center medical oncologist physicians provide diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of all malignant disorders, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies (cancers of the blood). These physicians provide care through diagnostic evaluation, treatment and long-term follow up, while ensuring that cancer patients and their families have access to complete care for their physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs.
