Rockie Lee Joins OMC as Plant Operations and Construction Manager

May 26, 2016 -
Lee Hails from Orlando, Florida

Rockie LeePORT ANGELES – Olympic Medical Center is pleased to welcome Rockie Lee, new plant operations and construction manager, to the community. Lee joined Olympic Medical on May 16.

Lee spent 20 years in the Navy working in facilities and equipment management; in his last three years he taught leadership, development and facilitation. After his years with the Navy, he worked for a large contractor that provided facilities management and safety services to corporations such as General Motors, Lockheed Martin, Monsanto and the State of Connecticut. Lee comes to the area most recently from Florida.

"Rockie held ‘boots on the ground’ management roles for more than 10 years,” says Darryl Wolfe, chief financial officer, Olympic Medical. "This is his first foray into health care, but we believe his experience in other highly regulated settings positions him well for success. I am excited that he is joining our team and look forward to working with him.” Lee will report to Wolfe.

The plant operations and construction manager oversees all construction projects throughout the Sequim and Port Angeles campuses and clinics, including the large medical office building currently underway next to the hospital. He also manages the plant operations department, including maintenance and repairs of facilities and non-clinical equipment.

Jason Francis Promoted to Supervisor, Plant Operations

Long-time plant operations worker Jason Francis stepped up to the supervisor position in May, and will work directly with Lee on the day-to-day operations of the hospital and existing facilities.

"His trade skills, demeanor, historical knowledge and strong standing with his peers are beneficial,” says Wolfe. "I am pleased to have Jason in this position.”
