JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the oversight of clinical operations in Infusion Services.  In conjunction with the Cancer Center Director, is responsible for all personnel activities including process improvement, staff scheduling, patient flow, nursing operations and competencies and general day-to-day management of the Infusion Center.   Under direction of the Director and physicians, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates  the nursing care of Cancer Center patients.  Provides coordination of patient care along with supervising the care provided by staff.  Creates, monitors and ensures policy implementation in conjunction with hospital policies and regulatory bodies.  Responsible for budget targets and process flow as set forth by the Director. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EQUIPMENT COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION

BSN preferred.  OCN certification to be obtained within one year of employment.

 

EXPERIENCE

Minimum three years clinical experience with at least one year experience in working in oncology required.  Strong managerial, budgeting and  process improvement experience desired.  Acute care nursing experience doing direct patient care, patient education and care coordination highly desirable.  Prior experience with medical oncology preferred.

 

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

Current Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure.  CPR Certified.
